Event Information and Overview
Climate COP-Out is a multi day event. Check the FULL PROGRAM. This event takes place on the stolen lands of the Cadi land of the Gadigal peoples of the Eora Nation, we intend to work alongside and in collaboration with First Nations peoples.Arrival
We will access multiple venues, please check the schedule for whats on each day and where. Parking for cars and bikes is available close to each venue. Closest train stations are Redfern, Newtown and Cental Station.Thursday: Addi Rd Community, 1/142 Addison Rd, Marrickville. From Central and Newtown trainstation, the 428 will take you directly out the front.
Friday: Darlington Activity Centre, 132-134 Shepherd St, Darlington. Its a 10min walk from Redfern station.
Saturday & Sunday: Glebe Town Hall, 160 St Johns Rd, Glebe. From Central the 470 will take you directly there. Otherwise take any bus to Victoria park, then a short walk up Glebe Point Rd and left onto St Johns Rd.
Accomodation
Unfortunately we do not have a campground available, we recommend staying with friends. Please reach out if accomodation is a barrier and you would like to come.Contribution
We are a self organised group of individuals that take responsibility and accountability for the projects we work on. Its a space of workshop, skill sharing and community building with plenty of opportunities to design it how we want. Please consider contributing to the event by signing up for a volunteer kitchen shift, camp clean up or other jobs that need doing. Together we can look after each other and create our own future.Food and Drinks
We will be preparing a vegan menu each day with help from local food solidarity groups. Food is free or by donation.Breakfast : 7:30 - 9am
Lunch : 12:30 - 2pm
Dinner : 6:30 - 7pm
Please be aware of other people and their relationship to certain foods/ drinks. We ask that consumption of alcohol or other substances be done in private if needed.
